The Role
We are seeking a Box Maker / Warehouse Assistant to join our Lindsay Rural team in Brisbane on a Full-time basis.
Monday to Friday roster, 7am starts.
This role would suit a mechanically minded person as you will also be maintaining the machine. No prior experience is required - this is an opportunity to learn and start a career, keep our warehouse moving along.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
* Safe and appropriate operation of the Box Machine to produce cartons.
* Pre-checks, manual configuration, ongoing maintenance & cleaning of the machine.
* Quality checking of cartons and stack & store in appropriate manner.
* Unloading/loading trucks with the forklift - if valid licence & experience held
* General housekeeping of yard and warehouse
About you:
The Candidates We Are Looking For Will Have
* Current and valid Forklift ticket highly regarded but not essential
* Prior experience in a similar environment, use of Box Machine highly regarded but not essential
* Mechanical background advantageous
* Good attention to detail with a strong customer service focus.
* Good work ethic, reliability and good communication skills
* Able to take direction, work under pressure and to ever-changing timelines
* Have a commitment to workplace health and safety.
To be successful for this role applicants must:
* Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test
* Be flexible and able to work over weekends as required
* Able to work in and around chemical, fertilizer, nutrient and packaging
Experience in a rural worksite or engaging with rural clients is highly regarded.
