We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Chef De Partie to join our dedicated team and play a pivotal role in delivering the high standards that have made us a regional favorite for decades.
Position Overview:
As Senior Chef De Partie, you will work closely with our Head & Sous Chefs to lead the kitchen team, uphold our reputation for excellence, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is a full-time position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a long-standing, highly regarded establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in planning and executing creative and seasonally inspired menus that align with the restaurant’s vision.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service.
* Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
* Maintain inventory control, order supplies, and monitor food costs to optimize profitability.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
* Assist the Sous chef in the Head Chef’s role in their absence, taking full responsibility for the kitchen.
* Contribute to the development of new dishes and specials, incorporating local and sustainable ingredients.
Qualifications and Skills:
* All applicants must hold a certificate IV in commercial cookery or higher.
* Proven experience as a Senior Chef De Partie or in a similar role, preferably with experience in a similar role.
* A passion for culinary innovation and a deep understanding of food trends and techniques.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and commitment to maintaining high standards.
* Culinary qualifications or equivalent experience.
