Role Description
This full-time, on-site role based in Adelaide, SA leads a cross-functional team delivering maintenance, enhancements and small projects for electromechanical products and manufacturing systems within a leading Australian manufacturer. The focus is on improving operational performance, safety and availability using agile and lean ways of working across production and physical product environments.
The role suits a hands-on Project Manager with Scrum Master capability, experience in electrical or electromechanical systems, and familiarity with maintenance practices in regulated Australian manufacturing settings. Acting as the coordination point between engineering, maintenance, quality and production, you manage backlogs, plan and track delivery, and drive continuous improvement by translating day-to-day operational issues into clear priorities, schedules and outcomes.
Essential Experience and Skills
* Hands-on experience working with electrical or electromechanical products and systems.
* Strong understanding of maintenance and reliability concepts, including preventive and predictive maintenance, TPM principles and structured root cause analysis.
* Experience working in Australian manufacturing environments with exposure to safety, quality and compliance requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate maintenance, upgrade and break-fix activities without compromising safety or operational continuity.
* Ability to translate production-floor issues into clear work items, priorities and delivery plans for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience as a Project Manager, Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master in a manufacturing, engineering or product development context.
* Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional technical teams.
* Comfortable using digital tools for planning, visual work management and reporting (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, MS Project or similar).
Desirable Experience
* Experience in organisations producing electrical or electromechanical products for building, industrial or residential applications.
* Exposure to operational improvement or reliability-related methods such as FMEA, FRACAS or reliability growth practices.
* Familiarity with maintenance excellence frameworks, including TPM programs and condition-based monitoring approaches.
* Formal Scrum Master, agile or project management certification (e.g. Scrum Master, AgilePM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent).
* Experience working with external vendors, OEMs or service partners to deliver maintenance or upgrade work.
* Exposure to change management or coaching teams through adoption of agile or lean practices in production environments.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, science or a related technical discipline (e.g. electrical, mechatronics, industrial or manufacturing), or equivalent practical experience in electromechanical product or manufacturing environments.
* Additional training or certification in project management and/or agile practices is highly regarded.
* Ongoing commitment to professional development in areas such as maintenance excellence, operational improvement, agile delivery or safety and compliance.
