Associate Director, Executive and Business Management
 * Exciting opportunity to join Corporate Services division within the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport
 * This is a Clerk Grade 11/12 role with a salary range of $149,739 – $173,174 per annum plus superannuation
 * Ongoing role based in Sydney NSW - hybrid working arrangements may be available within business operational needs
About the role
Provides high-level strategic, operational and governance support to the Deputy Secretary, Corporate Services, enabling effective decision-making, coordination and delivery across the portfolio. The role leads portfolio-wide business planning, governance, performance reporting and executive operations, driving alignment with departmental and whole-of-government priorities. It oversees the strategic operating rhythm of the Office of the Deputy Secretary, ensures seamless flow of ministerial and executive business, and acts as a trusted adviser on critical issues, risks and opportunities to support the Deputy Secretary's leadership of Corporate Services.
Key knowledge and experience
 * Experience in business management, governance, planning or strategy within a large and complex organisation, ideally in the public sector.
 * Demonstrated ability to provide high-level advice, analysis and briefings to senior executives in a complex politically sensitive environment.
 * Experience leading corporate planning, governance and reporting processes, with a track record of driving organisational improvement.
 * Strong knowledge of NSW Government structures, Cabinet and ministerial processes, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
 * Proven ability to build and manage effective relationships with senior executives, Ministers' Offices, central agencies and other stakeholders.
 * Well-developed leadership and communication skills, with experience managing teams or executive support functions to deliver high-quality outcomes.
