About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Clinical Nurse (Education) with a passion for clinical teaching and facilitation. Our ideal candidate will have experience in Education, Orthopaedics, Urology and Neurology, and will join our Education Team at St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside. This is a permanent, part‐time role of 72 hours (0.9 FTE) per fortnight, weekdays.

Job Description

Reporting to the Education Manager, the Clinical Nurse (Education) is a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, responsible for promoting clinical excellence and staff development. This role supports the department's vision of delivering evidence‐based care through continuous learning and professional growth by addressing both organisational and learners' needs.

Key responsibilities include:

* Responsible for all aspects of education and training within the clinical environment.
* Provide person‐centred development of staff.
* Assess clinical skills.
* Assist with clinical education events and support other education activities within the hospital in close collaboration with other members of the clinical education team.

At St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside, we have over 1,000 dedicated and skilled staff who treat nearly 35,000 people a year, delivering safe and high‐quality care to all our patients. Our hospital has 227 beds, 9 operating theatres, 2 cardiac catheter laboratories, a 17‐bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Day Oncology Unit, Breast Health Centre, Endoscopy Unit, Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and a 24‐hour private emergency centre provided by Brisbane Northside Emergency.

Things that work for us

* Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* More than 3 years' experience in at least one of the specialty areas – Orthopaedics, Urology, or Neurology and willingness to upskill in the other areas as required.
* Demonstrated clinical leadership abilities and strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Demonstrated experience in an education or clinical facilitation role is desirable.
* Cert IV in Training and Assessment (current) is highly desirable.
* Postgraduate qualification in Education in a healthcare setting, or working towards same is highly desirable.
