Electrical Technician
Job Responsibilities
* Maintenance & Repairs: Perform planned and unplanned repairs, refurbishments, and preventative maintenance on container handling equipment in the field and onsite workshop.
* Electrical Compliance: Ensure all electrical work meets or exceeds Australian Standards, manage High Voltage Isolation, and operate safety "Lock out/Tag out" processes.
* Shift Operations: Be available for rotating shifts, including day and night work, in line with the roster pattern.
* Documentation & Reporting: Complete job and service records, Daily Tool Box talks, crane pre‐start inspections, shift logs, and participate in SWMS, take‐5s, and risk assessments.
* Collaboration & Cleanliness: Liaise with and assist specialist contractors or providers, maintaining a clean and tidy workspace following 5S principles.

Required Qualifications
* Unrestricted Australian Electrical Licence; Australian driver's licence; High‐Risk licence for Elevated Work Platform (EWP over 11m) and Working at Heights training (Forklift operator's licence preferred).
* Extensive post‐apprenticeship experience in fault finding, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy plant, maritime, industrial cranes, or automated manufacturing environments.
* Strong technical knowledge of PLCs (Siemens TIA portal), Linux, TCP/IP networks, AC & DC Variable Speed Drives, Industrial Electric Motors (up to 800 kW), Hydraulic Controls, and Profibus/CAN bus/Profisafe communications.
* Safety Commitment: Experience in writing and contributing to JSA and SWMS development, ability to lift heavy objects per OH&S guidelines, comfort working at heights, and good general physical condition.
* Team Player: Highly motivated, customer‐orientated, with excellent work ethic, cultural adaptability, and a proactive approach to accomplishing tasks.
