Lead Group is working with an established commercial builder seeking an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team.
This is a genuine opportunity to take ownership of tenders across a varied commercial project portfolio, including education, government, community, commercial, industrial, refurbishment and live‐environment works.
The business has a strong pipeline, an experienced delivery team and a practical, down‐to‐earth culture. The role would suit someone who wants to be involved in more than just processing drawings, with input across pricing strategy, subcontractor coverage, risk review, value engineering and project handover.
About the Role
You will be responsible for pricing and tendering commercial construction projects from initial review through to submission.
Responsibilities include:
* Reviewing tender documents, drawings and specifications
* Preparing estimates, take-offs and tender pricing
* Engaging subcontractors and suppliers
* Reviewing trade coverage, scope gaps, exclusions and clarifications
* Assessing risk, buildability and commercial considerations
* Preparing tender submissions and pricing schedules
* Supporting value engineering and tender clarification processes
* Working with delivery teams to support clean project handover
About You
You are likely already working as an Estimator, Senior Estimator or Pre‐Construction Estimator within a commercial builder, fitout/refurb contractor or specialist construction business.
Relevant backgrounds may include:
* Commercial construction
* Education or government projects
* Fitout and refurbishment
* Special projects / minor works
* D&C or negotiated work
* Head contractor or subcontractor estimating
You will ideally bring strong attention to detail, good subcontractor relationships, clear communication and the ability to price work commercially.
Experience with CostX, Bluebeam, EstimateOne, Microsoft Project or Excel would be well regarded.
