We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented HR and Workforce Coordinator to join our dynamic and close‑knit team, supporting the full employee lifecycle within an energetic operational environment. This role is well suited to someone with a background in HR administration or payroll who is ready to broaden their skillset and step into a more rounded HR role within a medium sized enterprise.
About the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the HR Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring HR processes are efficient, compliant, and well‑supported across the business. They will work closely with operations, project teams, and leadership, gaining exposure to both blue‑ and white‑collar workforce requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the leadership team in managing employee relations and enhancing team dynamics and cohesion
* Providing end‑to‑end HR coordination across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, contracts, variations, offboarding)
* Maintaining accurate employee records, position descriptions, contracts, and correspondence
* Supporting payroll processes, pay changes, and data reconciliation in collaboration with payroll
* Administering and maintaining the HRIS (Employment Hero), ensuring data integrity and process consistency
* Coordinating recruitment actions including advertising, interview scheduling, offers, and onboarding
* Supporting performance management processes, probation reviews, and training administration
* Assisting with employee queries and foundational employee relations matters in line with company policy
* Managing compliance documentation such as licences, certifications, medicals, inductions, and role‑specific requirements for marine and diving personnel
About You
* Experience in HR administration, payroll, or a coordination role
* Exposure to Employment Hero or a similar HRIS preferred
* Background in a small to medium‑sized business, ideally within construction, marine, or industrial sectors
* Highly organised, detail‑focused, and comfortable managing competing priorities
* Hold a Diploma in Human Resources or currently studying an HR degree part‑time
* Enjoy working in a collaborative, hands‑on, and dynamic team environment
