The Learning and Development team is responsible for the design and implementation and evaluation of programs including leadership development programs, performance initiatives, Corporate Induction and Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander workforce development programs for executives, managers and staff across the department. The team also supports the Learning Management System (iLearn) and service desk that services 10 other Queensland Government agencies.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with an experienced team on learning opportunities that are targeted, relevant, and well-received, and to contribute your own ideas to those projects you are responsible for.
You are an experienced Learning and Development Senior Advisor who has worked with learning and organisational development projects. The fundamental skill requirements for this role include the ability to engage stakeholders, manage consultation, work with subject matter experts, and support the implementation of the People Strategy. The role will be responsible for learning and capability development programs and initiatives, including leading the provision of consultancy services to develop, gain endorsement for, implement and evaluate leadership and performance management interventions.
The Senior Advisor's Key Responsibilities Are
* Manage learning and development projects ensuring achievement of deliverables within required timeframes.
* Develop quality working partnerships within the department and across other government agencies in order to contribute to the delivery of effective learning and development services.
* Prepare plans, submissions, reports, briefs and other correspondence on learning and development issues and initiatives, undertaking appropriate research to support any recommendations.
* Provide advice to managers and key stakeholders on a range of human resources issues associated with learning initiatives and programs.
* Develop and maintain an understanding of key departmental and public service reform initiatives and emerging human resources issues.
