We are seeking aFabricator / Welder.
We manufacture caravans from start to finish and the Steel Shop is first protocol of the business structure.
You will need to be able to work as an individual and as a team member.
Carrying out work to a high standard and within deadlines quickly and sufficiently.
Overtime may be expected when needed and candidate must be open to working these extra hours.
Candidate required to haveexperiencein welding and fabrication.

Job tasks and responsibilities
Welding of mainly steel & some aluminium.
Safe operation of all machinery.
Cutting of materials.
Drilling of holes.
Grinding.
Construct caravan steel walls, roof and awnings.
Oxy cutting.
Plasma cutting.
Guillotine cutting.
Folding & bending of sheetmetal.
Assembling of steel caravan parts.
Work both supervised & unsupervised.
Good eye for detail & quality workmanship.
Have a high standard in safety within the workplace.
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products.
Prefer candidate with GMAW and GTAW experience in aluminum and steel.
Utilize handheld tools such as a hand held screw gun, drill gun, and grinders.
Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tool.
Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods.
Continually evaluate weld machine performance and technology to improve cycle times.
Maintain inventory of manufacturing product and welding consumables.
Salary to be discussed dependant upon experience
Skills and experience
Must be an experienced & qualified welder with Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication trade or equivalent.
Must have initiative and good problem solving skills.
Must have a current drivers licence.
Must be able to provide police clearance.
Must have good punctuality.
Must have reliable and excellent work ethic.
Must have excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
