Litigation Solicitor – 2-4 years PAE full-time

About the Role:
Nova Legal is a boutique law firm located in West Perth, specialising in the areas of general commercial litigation, dispute resolution and insolvency, corporate and commercial law.
Our client base is diverse ranging from global and ASX listed corporations, to local businesses and individuals. Our litigation team handles a broad range of corporate and commercial litigation matters including acting for a mercantile agent in debt recovery matters.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a litigation solicitor with debt recovery and insolvency experience to join our close-knit team on a full-time basis.
Ideally, we would be seeking a junior lawyer (2-4 years PAE) with some litigator experience but looking to expand their horizons to cover a wider suite of litigation exposure.
This litigation solicitor would be well-rounded in general commercial litigation including, but not limited to, the ability to draft:
* straightforward statements of claim and other pleadings;
* affidavits and other forms of evidence
* letters of demand;
* bankruptcy notices;
* statutory demands and accompanying affidavits;
* applications for default judgment and enforcement under the CJEA;
* originating processes and interlocutory applications;
* memorandums of consent orders or minutes of proposed orders and
* briefs to counsel.
There is also the opportunity to assist with property law matters including conveyancing and caveats.
The successful candidate would also be required to appear in Court on directions hearings, uncontested applications and enforcement proceedings in the WA State jurisdictions and in the Federal and Federal Circuit Courts.

Criteria to apply:
* You must be a junior litigation solicitor with2-4 years PAE with commercial litigation and debt recovery experience
* Must have a current law practising certificate
* Minimum of 2 years post admission
