  • Academic Level B - $112,810 - $133,110 + 17% Superannuation

How you'll make an impact

As Lecturer, Nursing and Midwifery (Diabetes Education), you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching across diabetes education, nursing and midwifery programs.

Working closely with students and colleagues, you will:

  • Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in diabetes education, nursing and midwifery.
  • Design innovative learning activities, assessments and educational resources that support student success.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship and academic guidance to students.
  • Contribute to research, scholarship and professional activities that advance knowledge and practice in diabetes education and healthcare.
  • Support clinical education and student learning within professional practice settings.
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare, community and professional organisations to strengthen education and research outcomes.
  • Contribute to the University's commitment to reconciliation, sustainability and positive community impact.

What you'll bring

You are a credentialed Diabetes Educator who is passionate about sharing your expertise and supporting the development of future healthcare professionals.

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
  • Credentialling and experience as a Diabetes Educator in Australia.
  • A Master's or PhD qualification in a relevant discipline, significant progress towards one, or willingness to undertake further study.
  • Contemporary clinical experience in diabetes education.
  • Experience delivering flexible, blended and online learning.
  • An understanding of the unique healthcare and education needs of regional, rural, remote, tropical and Indigenous communities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, communities and stakeholders.
  • Experience in tertiary teaching, curriculum development and research activity will be highly regarded.
