Overview
The role leads the change and communications strategy for Council's Yabbru/ERP SaaS transformation. You will help teams and stakeholders navigate and embrace new ways of working, partner with project leaders to align plans with organisational needs, and develop clear, actionable communication and training strategies. You will provide expert advice to senior leadership, guide the implementation team through change readiness and impact assessments, supervise the IT/ERP Trainer & Communications Officer, and identify and manage change-related risks.
Responsibilities

Help teams and stakeholders navigate and embrace new ways of working.
Partner with project leaders to align plans with organisational needs.
Develop clear, actionable communication and training strategies.
Provide expert advice to senior leadership.
Guide the implementation team through change readiness and impact assessments.
Supervise the IT/ERP Trainer & Communications Officer.
Identify and manage change-related risks.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience leading change, communications, and training for business systems projects in complex environments.
Strong knowledge of change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci) and how they integrate with project delivery.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence and build consensus.
Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to ambiguity, and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in or understanding of local government operations is highly desirable.
What's On Offer
Maximum-term (up to 3 years).
Base salary from $119,030 per annum with competency-based increments up to $132,348 per annum, plus 12% super.
70 hour, 9 day fortnight.

Location
This position is based in Tweed Heads, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
