The Opportunity
In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft upgrades and maintenance, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support, and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.
We are seeking an experienced Principal Avionics Engineer to provide capability upgrade and sustainment support for the P-8A Poseidon. This role will be part of BDA's Sustainment Operations Engineering Team.
As a Principal Avionics Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Designing and implementing capability upgrades
* Supporting aircraft certification and modifications
* Coordinating with Defence stakeholders for service delivery
* Managing platform service release activities
* Mentoring junior engineers
* Supporting avionics tasks related to engineering and airworthiness activities
Qualifications required:
* Experience with aircraft avionics systems and engineering processes
* Tertiary qualifications in Aerospace, Avionics, or Mechatronics, with membership in Engineers Australia (MIEAust)
