Project scope includes airports, renewables and clean power i.e solar, and combined cycle power plants. This position will require flexibility and may start in the home office with the expectation that mobilizing to a field site may become necessary to support our customers. Selected candidates will nationalize in receiving country after appropriate visa is obtained.Job Summary:In this role, you will be responsible for estimating, analysis and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill. You will prepare cost studies, review cost trends, and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadershipMajor Responsibilities:Level 1Performs generally non-routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities.Coordinates the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reportsCoordinates the development and accuracy of cost reportsVerifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistencyPrepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and proceduresInvestigates the requirements for estimating and/or cost control dataCollects and classifies cost dataPerforms budget allocation and reporting/cost control regime for specific construction discipline or group of disciplinesPrepares cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisonsLevel 2Responsible for cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skillAnalyzes to provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challengesDevelops and implements project requirements for cost control in accordance with established Bechtel and client contractual requirements, objectives, and proceduresEnsures work is completed as scheduled, supporting project organizational and administrative activitiesReviews identified cost trends for cost effectiveness and suggesting alternatives when appropriateMaintains open communications with other organizations to support cost engineering analysis and control activitiesEducation and Experience Requirements:Level 1Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experienceLevel 2Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, financial reporting systems, and cost analysis, in the field and the home office.Knowledge in supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present cost engineering and cost estimating products.Skilled in oral and written communication.For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
