In the code As a growing business, everyone gets stuck in, so we’d expect that this role will get their hands dirty, whilst managing the team, keeping a handle across different teams, projects and priorities. Managing and mentoring As a manager for our software engineers, integrations team, QAs and technical writer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the team has what they need to succeed (context, direction, coaching and more). A key facet of the role will be building relationships with stakeholders to support business continuity and scaling. The team Currently made up of six .NET engineers, one mobile Flutter engineer, 2 QAs, and 2 integrations team members. This is augmented by offshore project teams (currently 2 teams). As the manager, you’ll balance output, provide clarity on delivery timeframes, and look for ways to optimize delivery across multiple products. We’re hiring to support an accelerated volume of change in 2025. You’ll also have a dotted line managing Infrastructure to ensure the engineering team is set up for success. We are working on a transformation re-platforming project and a new product, both with offshore teams. Additionally, we have a maintenance team delivering features, integrations, and resolving bugs. We’re hiring software engineers, business analysts, and QA staff to expedite delivery and expand capabilities. We seek a leader who wants to own the technical realm and influence product direction, capable of outperforming all but the most senior individual contributors. Experience in SaaS, team management, change management, prioritization, roadmaps, velocity reporting, and challenge resolution is essential. What We’re Looking For Management: Skilled in managing diverse personalities, challenging the status quo, coaching, and directing to meet deadlines while collaborating with stakeholders. Project management: Strong in managing roadmaps, timelines, communication, and delivering successfully to set targets. Tech: Passionate about technology, confident with data, databases, coding languages, and familiar with various integration patterns and infrastructure needs. Solution Design: Able to collaborate on architecture, guide the team, and encourage input. Technical Requirements: Proficient in detailed technical coordination between product and engineering to ensure alignment. Scaling: Experienced in managing multiple projects and teams, setting realistic timelines, and supporting sales growth around new products. Essential Skills / Qualifications 7+ years in C#, .NET, and SQL (preferably MSSQL), with strong engineering practices. Proven management experience. Experience with infrastructure in cloud and dedicated environments. Excellent communication skills for team leadership and executive presentations. Relevant tertiary qualification. Desired Skills Experience with different methodologies and team focus strategies. Background in Logistics (TMS/WMS), SaaS, or tech industries. Hybrid database environment knowledge. Familiarity with cybersecurity governance (ISO-27001, OWASP). Experience with ITIL or similar incident management frameworks.
