In this senior pharmacy role, you will lead and deliver high‐quality pharmaceutical services across Children's and Obstetric Services, ensuring safe, compliant, and outcome‐focused medication management. You will provide operational oversight, support and train pharmacy staff, and contribute to leadership, clinical, and dispensary functions while further developing paediatric and obstetric pharmacy services. Collaborating closely with medical, nursing and multidisciplinary teams, you'll resolve medication‐related issues, support patient flow and act as a trusted medication expert. The role also contributes to teaching, research and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance medication safety and quality use of medicines in a fast‐paced hospital environment.
As the Senior Pharmacist for Children and Obstetric Services, you will provide optimal clinical pharmacy services across paediatrics, special care nursery and obstetric medicine, with operational oversight across the Campbelltown and Camden Hospital campuses. You'll ensure staff are appropriately trained, legislation and policies are adhered to, and a strong focus on high‐quality, safe medication management is maintained — including general leadership, clinical and/or dispensary responsibilities that contribute to a comprehensive, outcome‐based and consumer‐focused pharmacy service. You will also play a key role in establishing paediatric emergency services and driving innovation and service development across Children's and Obstetric Pharmacy Services.

We are seeking a registered pharmacist with experience in paediatric and/or obstetric clinical settings who can confidently navigate multiple clinical systems in a complex, fast‐paced environment. You bring strong clinical judgement, the ability to interpret and synthesise medication information effectively, and excellent organisational skills that support accurate, compliant workflow management. You communicate clearly with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams, demonstrate sound knowledge of medication management for children and pregnant patients, and are committed to delivering safe, high‐quality pharmaceutical care. * Experience working within paediatric and/or obstetric pharmacy environments
* Confidence using multiple clinical systems and digital tools in a fast‐paced setting
* Strong capability in gathering, assessing and synthesising complex medication information
* Excellent organisational skills with a track record of managing detailed workflows accurately
* Effective communicator who collaborates well with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
* Full Pharmacist registration with AHPRA with no restrictions to the scope of practice.
* Demonstrated experience working as a specialist clinical pharmacist in Paediatric, neonatal or obstetric services with extensive therapeutic knowledge.
* Demonstrated experience working within a multidisciplinary team, including a record of participation in clinical meetings and medical rounds.
* Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult effectively, advise and provide assistance to professional peers and other staff. Including computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
* Demonstrated participation in development and review of medication and other related policies.
* Demonstrated ability to actively participate and lead in quality improvement programs as well as training and education experience.
* Demonstrated ability to set priorities and adhere to deadlines with the proven ability to problem solve using initiative.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff in the delivery of high-quality pharmacy service within a tertiary referral hospital.
