Research Focused Academic Level C - $134,128 – $156,967 pa

About the Position
As the Senior Lecturer in Public Policy, you will be responsible for coordinating the Public policy Program including the preparation and delivery of lectures and tutorials for postgraduate students. You will be actively contributing to the design, development, and delivery of Public Policy postgraduate and professional development programs through collaboration and subject-matter expertise and lead the development of teaching programs and curriculum materials for relevant units, while supporting the advancement of related research initiatives.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

* Relevant postgraduate qualification (preferably a PhD within Public Policy)
* Experience teaching and coordinating public policy including regional planning, social impact assessment, governance and political economy.
* Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people including knowledge and understanding of their cultural and social issues.
* Ability to critically evaluate varied approaches to public policy in Northern Australia and the ability to explore and articulate appropriate approaches reflecting social justice, economic equity, ecological sustainability and cultural diversity
* Willingness to develop new approaches to public policy.
* Experience in local/regional community planning and development in a northern Australian context.
* Ability and willingness to travel in northern Australia and to supervise field trips and work placements.

Appointment to this role will be at HE Academic Level C. The base salary will be in the range of $134,128 - $156,967 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $156,929 - $183,651 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
