Description Why the role? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounts Payable professional to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the firm's creditor relationships and overseeing various accounts payable processes. This role requires strong operational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, and excellent communication abilities. What does a standard week look like? A typical week involves managing creditor relationships, processing invoices, performing reconciliations, and addressing accounts payable queries. You'll also work on identifying process improvements, training staff, and collaborating with the finance team to meet objectives. Skills And Experiences Key Responsibilities: Manage creditor relationships and oversee vendor, creditor, and staff reimbursement processes. Process firm creditor invoices and employee reimbursements. Ensure documentation supports payments and verify invoices for payment. Reconcile accounts payable ledger and perform regular bank reconciliations. Prepare reconciliations of credit card and vendor statements. Resolve discrepancies in invoices and reimbursement claims. Prioritise tasks to ensure timely invoice processing. Address accounts payable queries and escalate unresolved issues. Serve as the primary contact for creditors and resolve billing issues. Identify process improvements and train staff on policies. Provide support to the Trust department when required. To be successful in this role, you will have: Prior experience in accounts payable and preferable prior experience in trust accounting. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, iManage Work, Share, and Elite3E or a similar practice management system. Critical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving, along with the ability to identify process improvements. Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proven ability to handle sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality. You take pride in your work, demonstrating initiative and drive.
