Job Summary: This paid 21‑week construction traineeship will give you hands‑on industry experience, a Certificate 1 in Construction and assistance transitioning into full‑time employment. You will work at the BlueCare Ipswich site learning skills such as fencing, carpentry and grounds maintenance, supported by a qualified Trainer and a Youth Worker.
Key responsibilities: Gain 21 weeks paid industry experience, complete a Certificate 1 in Construction, learn construction skills (fencing, carpentry, grounds maintenance) at BlueCare Ipswich, work with a qualified Trainer and Youth Worker, assist in transitioning to full‑time employment.
Who can apply?
* Young people aged between 15 and 24
* Must not have completed a Certificate I (in industry)
* Must meet eligibility requirements for a Working with Children Blue Card
* Must be able to complete a National Police Check
* Not currently a full‑time student at TAFE, University or School
* Be local to the (Insert suburb) area
* Permanent resident of Australia
* New Zealand citizen permanently residing in Qld
* Refugee and Humanitarian Visa Holder living in Qld
* Temporary Visa Holder living in Qld with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency
