**About the role**:
The Operations Supervisor-Special Services involves supervising the daily running of the Sameday Taxi Truck division including managing a fleet of couriers and staff members, adhering to regulatory & compliance requirements, and meeting the customer delivery requirements _to make every customer experience outstanding._
**Key Purpose**:
- Effectively manage the daily running of the Taxi Truck division
- Allocating, monitoring of truck jobs and management of drivers and customers
- To assist the Time Critical operations team to achieve an efficient, timely and cost-effective model
- Safely manage the Taxi Truck division with full compliance to WHS, COR, NHVR and FedEx policy and procedures
**Specific Tasks**:
- The effective use of all resources to achieve continuous business improvement, while maintaining customer service
- Taxi Truck allocation in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with customer needs, within compliance requirements
- Identifying driver via GPS and allocating courier jobs to most suitable driver in an efficient manner
- Reviewing driver current jobs to ensure timely delivery windows are met
- Liaise with query channel operators to assist major customers with their needs
- Working knowledge of General Carriers contract determination
- Ensuring the scanning and recording of all Proof of Deliveries to assist with collation of data for recording and achieving KPI's (Service Quality)
- Communicating with other FedEx teams, creating an open transparent communication channel with all you deal with, while maintaining integrity
- Openly supply all information that is required for other parts of the business, through recording of collected data
- Complete training on internal procedures, scanning and compliance requirements

- 100% scanning and Proof of Delivery on all consignments
- Prompt resolution of customer service enquiries
- Being part of team with observable level of cooperation
- Give direct observation and feedback to management
- Identify and act upon any opportunity for cost reduction

**Experience/Qualifications**:
- Basic knowledge of the Transport/Local Courier industry
- Strong written and oral skills, including well developed persuasive ability
- Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management
