Male Disability Support Worker – Outdoor & Creative Companion
We’re seeking an experienced and reliable male Disability Support Worker to support a client who thrives on being active, creative, and out in the community.
Our client loves spending time outdoors — whether it’s gardening, hiking, or enjoying a barbecue surrounded by nature. He’s also passionate about robotics, mechanics, 3D printing, trains, and photography. If you’re hands-on, practical, and enjoy exploring recent ideas and hobbies, you’ll be a excellent fit for this role.
About the Role
This is an engaging, community-focused position supporting a young person to live a full and active life. The role includes:
Supporting participation in outdoor and creative activities
Assisting with day-to-day routines and skill development
Promoting independence and positive community engagement
Implementing and following Behaviour Support Plans with consistency and professionalism
Our client can display behaviours of concern, so we’re looking for someone who is confident, patient, and skilled in maintaining explicit boundaries and using proactive behaviour strategies.
Shifts
Monday:
Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Tuesday:
Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday:
Shift: To Be Confirmed (TBC)
Friday:
Evening Shift: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday:
Morning Shift: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
This role requires flexibility to adjust as needed.
About You
You’re dependable, confident, and genuinely enjoy connecting with young people through shared interests and outdoor activities. You also have a calm and professional approach to behaviour management.
Essential requirements:
Experience supporting clients with behaviours of concern
Full driver’s licence and comprehensive car insurance
NDIS Worker Screening Check
First Aid & CPR Certificate
Robust understanding of and ability to follow Behaviour Support Plans
