Waterside Bistro is one of Sydney's most unique waterfront venues, surrounded by national park, loved by locals, and buzzing with marina life seven days a week.
We are looking for a committed and experienced Full Time Cook to join our close knit team and help us deliver fresh, consistent, high quality food to our customers.
About the RoleThis is a hands on kitchen position ideal for someone who takes pride in their craft and thrives in a fast paced, friendly environment.
You will work closely with our Chefs, Bistro Manager, and small team to run day to day operations, maintain high standards, and contribute to a positive culture.This role is primarily daytime work, usually from 7:30am to 3:30pm, giving you the opportunity to enjoy your evenings at home or with your family.
Key Responsibilities
• Cook and prepare Bistro style meals such as grill, fry, salads, pasta, and savory items
• Assist with daily preparation for service and presentation
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen station
• Support stock rotation, ordering, and waste minimisation
• Work collaboratively with the front of house and back of house team
• Proactive and work in an efficient manner during rush hours
• Comply with food and safety hygiene procedures
• Order and check delivery docket from the suppliers
About You
• Previous experience in a cafe or bistro style kitchen
• Reliable, consistent, and confident during busy service
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen procedures
• Positive attitude and pride in delivering great food
• Available for weekday and weekend shifts
• Must have your own transport as there is no public transport to the marina
