**The Role**
Capital Facilities and Infrastructure Branch are seeking a highly motivated, proactive self-starter who wants to learn and grow in the organisation. The Branch manages a growing $21 billion portfolio of major infrastructure and facility projects for the Department of Defence all over mainland Australia, and in some cases, remote Islands. This area develops and delivers major capital facilities and infrastructure projects to support the sustainment of the Defence estate, as well as Fundamental Input to Capability of new Defence assets.

This APS 4 Support Officer (SO) role is a busy and highly rewarding role within the Directorate. The role supports the Director led management of the compliance and quality framework that is the core role of the Directorate. The role requires a person with strong organisational skills, a drive for improvement and quality and a demonstrated ability to drive and manage the administrative framework for a dynamic area. You will assist in the management of two large whole of Government panels, assist in the quality assurance activities delivered by the team and be expected to drive the administrative framework for the Directorate.

**About our Team**
Within this Branch is the Directorate of Quality and Compliance (DQC) who manage the compliance framework, the procurement and contract management processes, procedures and tools that support the delivery of projects. In addition to these, this Directorate manages and maintains two significant services Panels for Defence and manages the of the Defence Suite of Facilities contracts.
- Understands quality principles and be able to align with quality activities and outcomes.
- Understands and complies with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Willingness to learn, be challenged and support change within a compliance framework of processes, procedures and resources and implements improved work practices.
- Draws on information from multiple sources to analyse information.
- Strong written and oral communications - structures messages clearly and succinctly, and tailors communication style according to the needs of individuals or the audience.
- Builds and sustains relationships; work collaboratively team members, other teams, colleagues and clients.
- Strong time management skills and display exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt and re-prioritise work to meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast paced area.
- Demonstrate resilience and personal integrity.
- Ability to gain or have knowledge of records management principles.
- Demonstrate a good level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel etc)
