Senior Accountant | Combination of Management and Financial AccountantNSW State Government5 Months Contract - Potential Extension$650 Per day + SuperCBD |WFH 3 daysAbout the RoleThis is a key role supporting the Finance Director in delivering strategic insights and driving performance across the business.Key Responsibilities:Improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance.Provide meaningful financial analysis that links reports to strategic business decisions.Collaborate across departments to deliver key operational and financial outcomes.Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and their teams.Assist with the annual budget process, including forecasting, reporting, and analytics.Ensure compliance with year-end treasury deadlines.Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by the Finance Director.Proven experinece in:Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, both verbal and written.Demonstrated understanding of finance and accounting reporting packs.Excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel capability.Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.Confident presenting financial information to non-financial audiences.Creative problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.Strong systems experience, particularly with SAP, TM1, and BW.Qualifications & Experience:CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent).Experience working within government and/or independent agency environments is advantageous.Prior experience in a similar Finance Business Partner or senior commercial finance role.If you are interested in this position and feel you meet the criteria, then please send your CV to issy@charterhouse.com.au
