The Opportunity
We’re looking for a proactive and organized Maintenance Planner & Inventory Control to join our team and help keep our operations running smoothly. In this role, you’ll be the link between maintenance and production—planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support our team on the ground.
Reporting into the Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will:
Develop weekly maintenance schedules in coordination with production and maintenance teams
Lead weekly planning and scheduling meetings
Prioritize and manage work orders and requests in the CMMS system
Prepare detailed job plans, including required parts, tools, and instructions
Ensure parts are available and ordered on time for scheduled work
Maintain accurate asset and equipment records
Track and report on maintenance history, completed work, and outstanding tasks
Work closely with the stores team to manage spare parts and inventory
Organize parts kits for planned maintenance and shutdowns
Monitor and manage contractor access and compliance on site
Assist with vendor management and procurement of parts
Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance practices and efficiency
Provide regular reports on maintenance performance and parts usage
Support the Maintenance Manager in shutdown planning and maintenance reviews
Ensure all tasks meet safety, quality, and compliance requirements
This is a permanent full-time role based in Lisarow, NSW
About you
Our ideal candidate will possess:
Experience in a maintenance planning or coordinator role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong organizational and communication skills
Confident using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Understanding of maintenance best practices, inventory control, and spare parts management
Proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail
Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance standards
Must have MEX or similar program planning experience.
Mechanical or electrical background is preferred but not essential
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to influence team members at all levels/
Strong Microsoft skills, particularly Excel.
