About the role
Reporting to the National Manager, Funding and Health System Reform, the Health Economics Lead (Advocacy, Policy and Research) will develop the RACGP's health economic modelling and evidence standards, delivering robust analysis to support advocacy, policy, funding and reform. Working closely with internal teams, expert committees and government, the role drives data-led insights for high-profile projects and strategic planning.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare high-quality economic modelling and evidence for budget submissions, policy papers and advocacy campaigns.
* Provide expert cost–benefit analysis of proposed reforms from a specialist general practitioner, general practice and health system perspectives.
* Source, validate and interpret health funding and systems data, identifying trends to support evidence-based advocacy.
* Establish and maintain RACGP's modelling standards, QA processes and documentation across the Advocacy, Policy and Research business unit.
Skills & Experience
* Expertise in health economics and data analysis.
* Strong knowledge of health funding and systems data.
* Ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
* Skilled in stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
