About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a People & Capability Officer to contribute to meaningful, people-focused initiatives across Council. You’ll play a key role in strengthening culture, engagement, capability, and performance while supporting a workplace that values inclusion, collaboration and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing…
You’ll partner with stakeholders across the organisation to support and deliver people-focused programs and initiatives, including:
* Provide high-level project support to the People and Culture unit.
* Contributing to upskilling, development and culture initiatives.
* Supporting engagement, capability and performance projects.
* Working with workforce data to support inform decision-making.
* Developing clear, practical resources and communications.

What you need to thrive
* Effective organisational and analytical abilities.
* A proactive and professional approach to People & Culture support.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Genuine passion for workplace culture, people development and delivering meaningful organisational outcomes.
* experience in organisation development, human resources or a related field would be an advantage.
* Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Ongoing satisfactory Police Check &Valid Working with Children Check card (Employee).
