**About the Role**:
We are currently seeking experienced disability support workers and Enrolled Nurses to provide direct care to our Sunshine Coast participant living in a Specialised Disability Accommodation (SDA). The participant has a Hypoxic Brain Injury and requires assistance with all cares pertaining to daily living - showering, hoisting, medication administration, PEG feeds & more! There is also opportunity to enhance your skillsets within our SDA home in Morayfield.
**Shift Times**:
- 7am to 3pm (2 staff members)
- 3pm to 11pm (2 staff members)
- 11pm to 7am (1 staff member - Active Night)
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide personalised care and support to individuals with disabilities, including personal cares and activities of daily living.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of participants.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records by writing comprehensive shift notes, incident and behavioural reports.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes the independence and empowerment of our participants.
- Our nurses will lead wound care and catheter management in conjunction with training and support to our Disability Support Workers.
**Qualifications**:
- Cert II or III in Disability Support or a related field Highly Desirable OR
- Diploma Nursing (EN)
- Previous experience in disability support or a related healthcare field is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Drivers Licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Card (PAID)
- Experience with PEG care and feeds Highly Desirable
- Experience working with complex behaviours Highly Desirable

Pay: $33.96 per hour
