About Us
The Paediatric Physiotherapy Team at John Hunter Children's Hospital provides evidence-based assessments, interventions and child focused care that ensures optimal outcomes for infants, children, young people and their families. The team are passionate and dedicated to improving the care that patients receive following illness, injury or developmental concerns. The manager role works closely alongside the other service managers within Paediatric Allied Health and with members of the various multidisciplinary teams.
About The Role
This position is a managerial role with a clinical caseload. The team is predominately made up of part-time employees and therefore it is essential for a collaborative approach and clear communication to ensuring that the team receive consistent direction and leadership. This role will also involve providing clinical assessment and intervention across the inpatient and outpatient areas, involving patients with various needs.
The applicant will be supported by the seniors within the Paediatric Physiotherapy service, the Director of Allied Health and Manager of Community & Allied Health for Children, Young People and Families, as well as the other Service Managers of Paediatric Allied Health. There will be access to orientation to the service and CYPFs and ongoing opportunities for professional development will be available.
About You
This person will have advanced communication skills, with a passion for the delivery of quality physiotherapy to infants, children and young people. They will be calm when prioritising different demands and be clear in communicating these priorities with members of the multidisciplinary team. They will have significant clinical experience that they rely on to provide guidance and supervision to complex and challenging situations.
Requirements
* A relevant university degree and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and membership of the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
