About the opportunity

WellMob is an Aboriginal-centred digital Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) initiative that values Aboriginal leadership, Indigenous knowledges and culturally safe, strengths-based approaches

The WellMob website and workforce development project is run from the Faculty of Medicine and Health's University Centre for Rural Health in Lismore, NSW. The project is part of the national e-Mental Health in Practice consortium that is presently funded by the Commonwealth Government until June 2028.

There is an opportunity for an experienced health workforce educator and project manager to join the Wellmob team of 1 full time Director and 6 part time casual staff. You will work closely with the Director and help manage the team to build health and workforce capacity in using resources found on the website.

The Project and Training Manager will oversee the implementation of workforce development initiatives promoting the use of the WellMob website and Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) resources with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. You will be responsible for planning and overseeing project delivery, providing experienced leadership to manage staff and create training content to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved. The role leads effective collaboration within the WellMob team and across university partners, stakeholders, and the broader mental health and wellbeing sector.

Whilst this is a Targeted Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander position, non-Indigenous applicants with demonstrated understanding and experience in working in Indigenous health contexts are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to applicants of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent. This Exemption is claimed under Section 21 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

* lead end ‑to ‑end project delivery and workforce training development, including planning, team task allocation, monitoring progress, managing budgets and resources, coordinating activities, maintaining reporting and records, and proactively identifying and mitigating project risks to achieve agreed milestones and deliverables.
* support the Director to build strategic partnerships and collaborations with internal university and eMHPrac stakeholders and external mental health, health workforce, and Indigenous health organisations to increase project impact, support workforce uptake of digital mental health tools, and align collaborative activities with WellMob's objectives and priorities.

About you

* experience : Demonstrated high level experience in workforce training and project development in the health sector, with practical knowledge of the Aboriginal health sector or mainstream health service delivery of Indigenous specific health programs; Experience working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in a health practitioner/ clinical role (highly desirable)

* skills : A high level of clinical or health workforce training skills to be able to develop and deliver learning and PD content to primary health, allied health and peer workforces; Project management, staff supervisory and stakeholder management skills to coordinate large or complex projects and the ability to develop/cultivate productive relationships with internal, health sector and lived experience groups

* qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience in the health sector
* identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (preferred) or have demonstrated understanding and experience of the Aboriginal health sector
* willingness to get obtain an NSW WWCC and has a valid driver's licence
