About the opportunity
NSW Health Pathology currently has a position available for a Permanent Part Time Medical Laboratory Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your pathology knowledge and work in a busy and diverse Transfusion Laboratory.
The RPA Blood Bank Laboratory at Camperdown is staffed by a dedicated team who value hard work, excellence, and teamwork. We believe in providing the best service and are eager to welcome a new Medical Laboratory Technician. We support ongoing professional development to help you grow your skills and knowledge.
You will join a team providing a full range of blood products and comprehensive transfusion testing services to RPA and associated facilities. This role requires an energetic and professional team player willing to work weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts.

What you'll be doing
Perform laboratory investigations and tests (manual and automated) and technical tasks following established methods. Prepare materials and maintain equipment according to laboratory protocols.
How to apply

1. Minimum qualification of Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
2. Knowledge and experience in pathology services, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, and Quality Systems.
3. Ability to work responsibly, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
4. Teamwork skills and ability to work autonomously.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Commitment to quality management and continuous improvement.
8. Availability for shifts across a 24/7 roster, including weekends and holidays.
