About the Role
This full-time position is based at Bendigo Toyota but actively for the full BCM Group. While accounting forms the core of the role, it is a pivotal operational position with regular exposure to all business areas including administration, IT and systems.
The role also leads a small high performing administration team and is supported by an approachable and highly experienced Financial Controller who will provide hands-on training, coaching and day-to-day support.
This opportunity is ideal for someone ready to step into their first leadership position, broaden their operational capability and grow their career within a multi-site environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the day-to-day and month-end accounting
· Preparation of monthly management accounts in an accurate and timely manner
· Balance sheet reconciliations
· Internal controls
· Assist in statutory tax reporting including GST, LCT, FBT and PAYG
· Investigate and resolve queries from the Dealer Principal, Department Managers and other team members
· Support the payroll function
· Lead and mentor an awesome and supportive administration team
About You
In your early-mid accounting career and looking to grow into your first people management role. You will be personable and approachable, with the ability to relate to people across different roles and backgrounds. Strong communication with strong analytical capability and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
Essential Criteria:
· Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
· CA/CPA (completed or in progress) is beneficial but not essential
· Current driver's license
