About the Role
The Chef will be responsible for supporting all day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, quality, presentation and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Job Type: Casual role - minimum 15 hours a week
Shift: Rotating roster
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision and attention to detail.
* Demonstrate mastery in cooking techniques, ensuring consistent quality and flavour.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative dishes that excite and delight our patrons.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
* Work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple orders and ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
About you:
* Completed Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Minimum 1 year experience
* Proven experience as chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
* Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine, including various other cuisines, sauces and spices.
* Excellent wok cooking skills, with the ability to control temperature and cooking time to achieve desired results.
* Creativity and innovation in recipe development, with a passion for exploring new flavor combinations.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Food safety certification and adherence to hygiene standards.
