About the Opportunity

This is an intensive care role for a child or young person in statutory care that responds to complex impacts of abuse, neglect and separation from family.

The goal of this program is to create positive, safe, healing relationships and experiences informed by sound understanding of trauma, damaged attachment and development needs.

The Therapeutic Family Model (TFM) program helps young people identify personal stressors and develop appropriate self-regulation techniques.

Overall, goals of the program include reduced problem behaviours, increased pro-social behaviours, increased social skills, accomplishment of age-appropriate tasks, and relationship development.

You will work collaboratively within a dedicated team to deliver high-quality therapeutic care, implementing current best practice therapeutic interventions and program guidelines to ensure highest standard of care and child safety.

You will serve as a positive role model, supporting young people in their educational, social and recreational pursuits while fostering independence.

Create a safe and nurturing home environment, managing household duties and providing nutritious meals.

This is a 24/7 rostered position with opportunities for professional growth and development.

* Foster strong relationships with young people, families and colleagues.
* Develop and implement therapeutic plans to support young people's needs.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
* Maintain accurate records and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
