**Role Responsibilities**:
As an
**Accounts Team Leader**, you will be responsible for the following:
- Supervising the Accounts Team, providing effective leadership and guidance.
- Ensuring adequate controls are in place and promptly reporting any discrepancies or inefficiencies to the Group Financial Controller.
- Providing valuable feedback to dealership management to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Supervising and actively contributing to the processing of supplier invoices, ensuring that each staff member is responsible for specific tasks.
- Ensuring timely payments to suppliers in accordance with our clients' policy and procedure.
- Addressing supplier and staff queries efficiently and effectively, promoting positive relationships.
- Ensuring accurate coding of invoices in compliance with our clients' requirements.
- Approving invoices that deviate from closed purchase orders in collaboration with department managers.
- Conducting periodic vendor maintenance, with a specific focus on ABN checks.
- Monitoring changes to vendor files and ensuring compliance with company policy.
- Reporting on purchase order usage to dealerships.
- Assisting the accounts and administration department with any other directed duties as required.
- Demonstrated experience in an accounts payable position and a solid understanding of accounts payable issues. Alternatively, demonstrated experience in an accounts receivable position with a solid understanding of accounts receivable issues.
- Proven knowledge of standard accounts payable procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to lead, manage, delegate, train, and mentor team members while working in a self-directed manner and leading by example.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional reconciliation skills.
- Task-oriented mindset with outstanding organisational skills, enabling you to prioritise and meet deadlines in a high transactional environment.
- Flexibility to work in a manner that understands the needs and priorities of other team members within the larger Group.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ERA software is desirable.
