Your new role The Curtin School of Allied Health is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Academic Lead (official title: Senior Lecturer) for a continuing Teaching Academic position.

The Academic Lead for Health Sciences Clinics will be responsible for the strategic management and academic oversight of the student-led clinics within the Faculty of Health Sciences. This role requires significant innovation, initiative, and judgment to ensure the delivery of high-quality student learning experiences across multiple clinic sites, in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

* In collaboration with leaders in the Faculty explore potential opportunities for progressing student-led clinics, with external and internal stakeholders
* Oversee clinic operations, ensuring compliance with fieldwork requirements, monitoring student clearances, and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
* Provide leadership to clinics coordinators in the provision of quality interprofessional practice experiences and where appropriate, to students within the student-led clinics.
* Prepare and present reports on clinic outcomes, represent clinics in relevant committees, and explore opportunities for advancement in collaboration with academic leadership.

Who we are looking for:

1. A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent high-level industry experience).
2. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to develop, implement and manage program plans to achieve desired outcomes within budget and resourcing constraints.
3. Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to consult and liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and with cross-cultural sensitivity.
4. Proven ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team, including the capacity to supervise and manage other staff.
5. Demonstrated critical analysis skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
6. Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position.

Desirable Criteria

* Previous experience in a tertiary environment.

Role Requirements:

* As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
