Strategic Land Use Planner Role
This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the city's future growth while respecting its natural and cultural heritage values.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Planning or a related field, with experience in strategic land use planning and policy review. They should possess strong knowledge of planning schemes, legislation, and policy frameworks, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
In this key role, you will be responsible for leading research and contributing to strategic land use planning reviews aligned with contemporary capital city growth trends. You will also support project management approaches for significant city-shaping projects, prepare submissions on draft legislation, statutory instruments, and regional land use strategies, and provide advice to the public and developers on planning scheme amendment processes.
