Job Description
DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Manager Medical Affairs, located in North Ryde, New South Wales, Australia. The role focuses on advancing the orthopedic portfolio in the Korean market, collaborating with cross‐functional teams to execute medical strategy, support clinical evidence generation, and build relationships with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
* Provide medical and scientific leadership for DePuy Synthes products and initiatives in Korea, ensuring alignment with regional and global medical strategies.
* Serve as a key medical partner to commercial, clinical, regulatory, and market access teams to support product launches and lifecycle management.
* Engage with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and academic institutions to support clinical education, evidence generation, and scientific exchange activities.
* Oversee local medical education programs, advisory boards, and investigator‐initiated research in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
* Review and approve medical materials to ensure scientific accuracy, balance, and compliance with internal and external standards.
* Support post‐market clinical activities, including real‐world evidence generation and safety surveillance in collaboration with global teams.
* Contribute to local medical insights and feedback to inform global strategy and product development.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare‐related discipline.
* Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, or a related role within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
* Solid understanding of clinical research, medical education, and regulatory requirements in Korea.
* Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
* Experience partnering with cross‐functional teams to support business and medical objectives.
* Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Desirable Qualifications
* Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) preferred.
* Prior experience in orthopedics or musculoskeletal therapeutic areas.
* People management or project leadership experience.
* Experience supporting product launches and post‐market clinical activities.
* Familiarity with global medical affairs operating models.
Other Requirements
* Fluency in Korean required; English proficiency required for regional and global collaboration.
* Travel up to 25%, primarily domestic with occasional international travel.
