We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our team in maintaining the reliability and availability of our fixed plant equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that equipment is maintained to high standards, accurately predicting equipment failure, and preventing unscheduled plant downtime. This role requires a strategic and forward-thinking approach, with a focus on sustaining reliability and availability through effective maintenance practices.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with 5-10 years of experience in the mining industry within maintenance and/or reliability engineering. They will possess a working knowledge of maintenance management software and be proficient in administering and reviewing plant availability reporting metrics and data integrity. A strong commitment to health and safety is essential, as well as a willingness to participate in defect elimination initiatives.
This permanent position operates on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth, offering a competitive salary and annual incentive based on company performance. Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring standardisation of maintenance processes and procedures
* Using root cause analysis and condition-based maintenance systems to identify plant failure modes and develop predictive strategies
* Administering and reviewing plant availability reporting metrics and data integrity
* Identifying, planning, and managing plant improvement projects
* Initiating and executing continuous improvement projects focused on defect elimination
* Developing maintenance strategies and tactics to ensure optimised plant performance and cost
* Developing the site's Condition Monitoring program and systems
* Analysing and reporting on plant equipment performance against forecasts
* Assisting in maintenance planning and forecasting
* Providing recommendations on maximising the equipment life cycle and performance
About You:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* Demonstrated 5-10 years' experience in the mining industry within maintenance and/or reliability engineering
* Strategic and forward-thinking approach
* Working knowledge and application of the Mine Safety and Inspections Act and regulations
* Proficient user of maintenance management software
