This position offers a unique opportunity to provide specialist Renal & General Medicine service to inpatient and ambulatory patients within Katherine Hospital and regional communities. The successful applicant will contribute to postgraduate education at the hospital, including supervising General Medicine trainees.

Job Summary

* Provide specialist Renal & General Medicine services to both inpatients and outpatients within Katherine Hospital and its surrounding regions.
\
* Contribute to the educational development of General Medicine trainees at the hospital.
\
* Participate in the supervision and training of junior medical staff.
\
\
Key Responsibilities
\
\
1. Provision of high-quality Renal and General Medicine care to patients in acute settings.
\
2. Supervision and training of junior medical staff in accordance with relevant protocols and guidelines.
\
3. Active participation in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
\
4. Engagement in postgraduate medical education activities, such as teaching and mentoring.
\
\
Requirements
\
\
* A Fellow or Specialist registration from the Medical Board of Australia.
\
* Experience in Renal and General Medicine, preferably in a rural or remote setting.
\
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
\
\
Benefits
\
This role offers a competitive remuneration package, including a base salary range of $213,380 - $261,100, depending on experience.
\
The position is classified at the Staff Specialist Clinician level SMO1.1- SMO1.6.
