The Opportunity
Become a part of our dynamic Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland.
This role presents a unique opportunity to join a highly professional team whilst working on advanced military airlift capabilities such as the prestigious C‐17A Globemaster in support of the Royal Australian Airforce.
Responsibilities
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing, and troubleshooting of C‐17A aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, and mentoring subordinate technicians.
Experience / Qualifications - Essential
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
* Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulations
* Australian Citizen eligible for NV1 Defence security clearance
* C class driver's license
* Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders
Experience / Qualifications - Desirable
* Previous experience with military aircraft
* CASA or DASA Maintenance License or ability to obtain
* Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
* Working knowledge of computer‐based maintenance management systems
Security Clearance
You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA. You must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and verify your background from birth to present.
