We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Educator or Childcare Assistant to join our dynamic team at Benowa Early Learning Centre. You will be responsible for engaging with children through age-appropriate activities, supporting their daily routines, and ensuring their well-being at all times. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education and committed to making a positive difference in young lives.
Job Type: Permanent / Full-time - Rotating roster
Location: Benowa Early Learning Centre
Responsibilities:
· Plan and prepare play environments and learning activities & programs based on each child's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
· Support the implementation of daily routines and ensure children's individual needs are met.
· Observe and reflect on children's progress to adjust activities and support their continued development.
· Liaise with families, caregivers, and your colleagues regarding the children – seek to understand the children's needs, interests, motivations, etc and work with the other Educators to accommodate for their specific needs and interests.
· Desire to have a positive impact on children behaviour and social development with supporting children's independence, problem-solving, and social skills.
· Able to lead and train fellow Educators to ensure an organised, safe, clean, and healthy environment for all children.
· Perform First Aid and comfort to children where necessary and complete associated documentation in a professional and timely manner.
· Supervise and lead children in all daily activities, including play time, reading hour, art projects, and snack and lunch time.
· Promote children's learning by actively engaging them in age-appropriate experiences and activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
· Ensure a child safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children's growth and development.
· Contribute to team meetings and collaborating on educational programs and assist with documentation and daily administration tasks.
· Understand the regulatory requirements listed in the National Regulations and National Quality Standards, with a focus to provide an excellent level of education and care to the children at the centre-based service.

What we are looking for
· Diploma or higher in Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) for a Group Leader Position OR Cert 3 in Childhood Education and Care for an Assistant Position. If you are working towards this, please still apply.
· The candidate has years of experience in Early Years Sector.
· Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate.
· Current Child Protection Training Certificate and Child Safe Training Certificate.
· Have sound professional written and verbal communication.
· The desire to make a positive contribution to a professional, collaborative and focused team.
· A love for children and a desire to make childcare a long-term career
