As part of the Technology Team, you will utilise your web Frontend Developer skills to take responsibility for the delivery of high-quality, customer-facing visual and interactive elements which will be used in Bupa Digital systems to drive strategic outcomes for Bupa's customers.
Your Contribution:
* Will develop functional and appealing web applications bsed on usability and build reusable code and libraries for future use.
* Will ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
* Will be responsible for website maintenance and enhancements.
* Will assist back-end developers in coding and troubleshooting.
* Planning and Organising / Work Management – Establishing a course of action for self to accomplish specific goals.
* Initiative – Making active attempts to influence events to achieve goals; self-starting rather than accepting passively; taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required; being proactive.
* Quality Orientation – Accomplishing tasks through concern for areas involved, no matter how small; showing concern for all aspects of the job; accurately checking processes and tasks
* Communication – Effective use of communication channels in interactions with customers, vendors, management and team. Manage management and stakeholder expectations including through formal and informal reporting
* Proactively support the uplift of project delivery practices and participate in and contribute to Communities of Practice within Bupa
Qualifications and training
* A proficient understanding of web mark-up including HTML5, CSS3 and accessibility
* A basic understanding of CSS and pre-processors like SASS
* A basic understanding of CSS-in-JS libraries such as MUI, styled components and emotion
* A good understanding of unit testing frame works such as Jest, Cypress and React Testing Library
* A good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX.
* Knowledge or experience with building and bundlers such NPM, yarn, webpack and Rollup
* Basic knowledge with tools such as Figma and Miro
* Experience with Content Management Systems.
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git.
* Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring applications will adhere to them.
