WASTE TRANSFER STATION TOLL BOOTH ATTENDANTS
Gradco are currently seeking reliable, customer-focused Toll Booth Attendants to join the Burnie Waste Management Centre on a part-time roster, including weekday and weekend shifts. As the first point of contact for customers and visitors, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of efficient, compliant and friendly service.
This hands-on role is responsible for operating the weighbridge, collecting waste transfer fees, providing guidance on compliant waste disposal, and maintaining accurate records. You'll also assist in directing visitors safely and appropriately on-site.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a high level of customer service to customers, visitors and contractors
* Operate the weighbridge, process EFTPOS transactions, and reconcile daily takings
* Provide site instructions and disposal guidance to customers
* Inspect vehicle loads to ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements
* Respond to queries in person and by phone professionally and efficiently
Requirements
* Valid previous experience in a customer service role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in EFTPOS handling and basic reconciliation
* Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn site-specific systems
* A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
