Job Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead our water sector projects in Newcastle.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full project life cycle, from feasibility studies and conceptual design through to detailed design and construction support, including site surveys and investigations.
Key responsibilities include leading mechanical design for infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, collaborating closely with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners and other stakeholders to deliver positive project outcomes.
* Mentor junior engineers within the team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field; ideally holding Chartered status or working towards it.
* Experience in detailed design within the water industry; background working with delivery contractors would be beneficial.
