About the Role:
BCHS- Rockhampton Children Family Centre are currently seeking a proactive, energetic, and professional Data/Admin Officer. The position is to be filled on a full-time permanent basis for 38 hours per week. The role will be primarily based at our Rockhampton Children and Family Centre – Cnr Bawden and Charles Street, North Rockhampton QLD 4701, but may require travel to other Bidgerdii work sites, as required.
Minimum Requirements of the role:
* The incumbent will possess a Cert 3 in Business Administration or have a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated administrative industry experience
* Have a 'can do' positive approach to life and work and have previously worked in a community admin role
* It is imperative that the incumbent has exceptional interpersonal skills with a willingness to assist and support others in a team environment.
* Sound organisational skills and computer skills are also required, with high attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating a high level of written communication skills with a proven ability to prepare/take meeting minutes.
* Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Excellent customer service skills, including a commitment to quality customer service and the capacity to exercise initiative, discretion, judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
* Demonstrated high-level knowledge and experience using computers, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and an understanding of the concerns affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Practical Requirements:

As part of this commitment, this role requires a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and police record checks, and all applicants should be aware that these checks will be conducted as part of the recruitment process

* Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD) – essential
* Immunisation requirements – It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, COVID19 and pertussis (whooping cough) during their employment.
* Satisfactory Police Criminal History Check.
