In-House Tax Senior Consultant — The opportunity
As our In-House Tax Senior Consultant you will assist with meeting the firm's tax obligations with a particular focus on Fringe Benefits Tax reporting and compliance. You will join an established team of tax experts that has an in-depth knowledge of both tax and accounting compliance, reporting and transactional work.
This is a Parental Leave coverage for 6 months and can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia. The role can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly/remotely. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly reconciliation for Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT)
* Support in the preparation of FBT returns
* Prepare monthly GST review workpapers
* Review vendors for WHT obligations
* Prepare and post journals
* Support in identifying and implementing process improvement ideas
* Ad hoc requests
Skills And Attributes For Success
* An understanding of tax concepts, particularly FBT and GST
* Detailed accounting knowledge and basic process flow is essential
* Good judgement and communication skills
Qualifications (Ideal, not essential)
* Advanced level in Excel
* Experience in SAP
