We are looking for a high caliber Senior Business Analyst to join our client's dynamic delivery team. This is a pivotal role sitting at the intersection of regulatory interpretation, network operations, and digital delivery. You will be instrumental in translating complex regulatory obligations such as Flexible Exports (FEL) and Ministerial Orders into seamless business processes and auditable requirements.
As part of an established BA cohort, you will work on high profile initiatives (including FTA and Consumer Energy Resources) that ensure our network remains compliant, efficient, and customer-focused.
The Role
This isn't just about \"gathering requirements.\" You will be a bridge between the regulator and the real world. You will work across discovery, policy design, and end to end delivery to ensure traceability from legislative intent through to implemented digital outcomes.
Key focus areas include:
Regulatory Translation: Distilling AER guidance, license conditions, and Ministerial Orders into clear, testable business requirements.Process Engineering: Leading future state BPMN modelling across customer connections, network operations, and compliance workflows.Digital Integration: Defining requirements for customer-facing portals and operational systems.Collaborative Synthesis: Facilitating workshops with technical, digital, and regulatory stakeholders to turn ambiguous problems into structured solutions.Governance & Documentation: Producing executive-quality BA artefacts and business cases suitable for audit-sensitive, regulated environments.
Requirements/Skillset:
Energy Domain Expertise: Deep experience in energy utilities or a similarly asset-intensive, highly regulated sector is essential.Regulatory Savvy: Proven ability to work with evolving obligations and transform them into auditable delivery artefacts.Methodological Discipline: Advanced skills in BPMN 2.0, structured discovery, and waterfall delivery environments.Strategic Thinking: Experience developing options analyses and business cases to secure executive funding.Communication: The ability to simplify complex technical or regulatory concepts for diverse audiences, from engineers to senior leaders.7+ years of Business Analysis experience within complex or regulated qualifications in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.A strong understanding of CER/DER concepts or electricity network in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Office.
