Our Not For Profit client, who provides innovative, life‐changing education for young adults with disabilities, empowers students to build independence, confidence, and practical skills for daily living are expanding their team and are looking for a passionate, patient, and hands‐on Classroom Trainer with a strong interest in horticulture to join a supportive and dedicated training community, working 32 hours/fn based at the Caloundra campus.
About the Role
As a Classroom Trainer, you'll deliver engaging, practical learning experiences to students, supporting their development of essential life skills. You will create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and facilitate training that encourages participation, independence, and personal growth—particularly within horticulture‐based learning activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver training sessions with a focus on foundational horticulture skills
* Provide hands‐on guidance in practical gardening tasks
* Support students with diverse abilities in achieving learning outcomes
* Maintain a safe and encouraging learning environment
* Contribute to curriculum enhancement and assessment processes
* Work collaboratively with trainers, support staff, and program coordinators
About You
While a formal horticulture qualification (Certificate II or III in Horticulture, plus industry experience) is highly desirable, it is not essential. We're looking for someone who has:

* Experience delivering training or educational support
* Practical gardening knowledge, including:
* planting and soil preparation
* plant care and maintenance
* safe hand‐tool use
* pest and weed management
* seasonal gardening tasks
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine passion for empowering young adults with disabilities
* A patient, compassionate and adaptable learner‐centred approach
Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or earlier), or Certificate IV in School Based Education Support (CHC40221 or earlier), or another recognised education qualification
* Documentary evidence of the right to work in Australia
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or equivalent registration
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module: Quality, Safety and You
* Valid Open Driver Licence
* Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
* Epilepsy & Seizure Awareness including Midazolam Administration (ESAMA), or willingness to obtain
